The next Dietetics and Nutrition Webinar will take place on April 20th, 2015. The Gluten Free Webinar is sponsored by the FDA and JIFSAN. The webinar runs from 1:00-2:30pm and will feature speakers Suzanne Wolcoff and Carol D’Lima.
The presentation will discuss the FDA’s definition of “gluten-free”, what is required for a food to be labeled and marketed in the United States as “gluten-free”, and additional requirements for gluten-free labeling of hydrolyzed and fermented foods.
The presentations are extremely interactive with Q&A sessions, case studies, quizzes, and polls.
Participants can receive 1.5 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, as approved by the Commission on Dietetics Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The program also qualifies for up to 3.5 Certified Food Scientist (CFS) recertification contact hours (CH).
